Moe and Flora Momtazi Family
Starting in 2010 when Justin helped out at harvest, Moe, Flora, and the Momtazi daughters became family. Later on in 2012, in the cellar of Maysara, Jasper Sisco's journey began with them, and Momtazi now provides the fruit for our flagship wine.
Planting at Momtazi Vineyards began in 1998, just south of McMinnville in the Willamette Valley; farming has been focused on sustainability since the beginning, and the vineyard is now the largest contiguous biodynamic farm in Oregon. The two parcels we source from were both original plantings by the Momtazis and include clonal varieties 114 and Pommard.
Moe's vision for Momtazi Vineyard is truly grand, and the magic and power of the land is apparent.
